TX-2025-01 Lifter's Handbook New Lifter Tips USAPL Membership

Note:  This meet will be for junior, open, & masters raw full meet lifters from Texas only.  A separate state championship will be held for equipped lifters, bench only, & deadlift only and another for youth, teen, & high school as noted at the bottom of the Qualifying Totals sheet.  

Registration timeline:

Priority registration based on Qualifying totals ($125)

 

August 1st to August 14th:

Those who have achieved a total within 20% of the Raw Nationals qualifying total from 1/01/22 to 8/14/24 (see qualifying totals spreadsheet)

August 15th to August 28th:

Those who have achieved a total within 50% of the Raw Nationals qualifying total from 1/01/22 to 8/28/24. (see qualifying totals spreadsheet)

 

August 29th to August 31st:

USAPL Texas members with a 75kg minimum total if spots still available.

 

Regular Registration: September 1st to November 30th ($150) 

USAPL Texas members (no QT required) if spots are still available.

 

Late Registration: December 1st to December 31st ($175)

USAPL Texas members (no QT required) if spots are still available.

 

Meet Dates: January 18-19, 2025

Where: Texas Strength Systems (San Antonio)

General meet info email will be sending out around 2-month out or once registration fills, whichever comes first.

1. USAPL Membership (required): USAPL Cards can be purchased online at www.usapowerlifting.com. 
Please note that if this will be your first meet of 2025, you can wait until November 1st to purchase your USAPL membership but if you already have it, please submit it when registering.

All lifters must have been drug-free for the past thirty-six (36) months.

 

2. Meet Schedule:

Early equipment check is optional but recommended and will be on Friday 01/17 from 6:30PM - 7:30PM (tentative) at TSS-SA. You will need to show us your current USAPL membership card (digital is acceptable), photo ID (DL, school ID, military ID, passport, birth certification if youth lifter, etc.) & everything you are wearing to compete. We recommend looking over the Lifters Handbook and New Lifter Tips on the USA Powerlifting site.

Meet day (Tentative schedule)

- Session 3 (Sunday): Regular Check-in with Equipment Check: 7AM. (USAPL ID & Photo ID are required. Show referees everything you're wearing on the platform)

Weigh-in: right after you have your Equipment checked, to no later than 8:30AM (no exception). (openers & rack height are required before you go weigh-in)

Lifting starts at 9:00AM, ends around 1:30PM. Awards to follow.

- Session 4 (Sunday):  Regular Check-in with Equipment Check: 12:30PM. (USAPL ID & Photo ID are required. Show referees everything you're wearing on the platform)

Weigh-in: at 1PM, after you have your Equipment checked, to no later than 2:30PM (no exception). (openers & rack height are required before you go weigh-in)

Lifting starts at 3:00PM, ends around 7:30PM. Awards to follow.

Please see www.texasstrengthsystems.com/pages/meets for any meet change request including weight class, division, team name, etc.. Any division(s) add or changes or add won’t be accepted within 2 weeks out from the date of the meet.
