2024 USA Powerlifting Texas Collegiate State Championships (TX-2024-36)

I. Description:

The 2024 USAPL Texas Collegiate State is open to all USAPL Collegiate members in Texas.
II. Requirements:
- Must have a non-expired USAPL membership on meet date (2024 or 2025). If you need to get/renew your USAPL membership, you can still register for the meet now, and purchase the membership on November 1st so that it covers 2025 as well.
- Must be an active student in any Texas universities. If you're from out-of-state but are currently go to a Texas university, you're still eligible for this meet.
(i.e. You're from Louisiana but currently enrolled in University of Texas in Austin)
- All lifters must have been drug-free for the past thirty-six (36) months.
- All registered lifters must enter name of school they're attending under "Team" for consistency; since there are some universities that don't have powerlifting team established yet.  

 (i.e. If you're in Longhorn Powerlifting team, please put "University of Texas in Ausin" under "Team"; "University of Houston" instead of "UHPL", etc..)

III. General info:

When: November 23 & 24, 2024

Where: Texas Strength Systems, San Antonio, TX

This will be a two-platform, two-day meet with ~ four sessions total.

This meet can be used to:

- Qualify for any Nationals including 2025 Raw Nationals (since this is State Chamionships).

- Break American Records (all American Records except for Collegiate American Record must be broken by at least 2.5kg)*

* Example: 

The 52kg Male Junior American Record for bench is 182.5kg, you must bench 185kg (182.5 + 2.5) to break that Junior record. (applies to Open & all Teen as well)

The 52kg Male Collegiate American Record for bench is 152.5kg, you can chip the record by benching 153kg (152.5 + 0.5 chip).

IV. Registration Timeline (meet shirt not included):

       Early Bird Registration: $85 (Deadline - August 31)

       Regular Registration: $110 (September 1 - October 22)

       Late Registration: $135 (October 23 - November 8) 


V. Pre-meet Timeline:

  1. Friday 11/08 @ 11:59pm - Weight Class (& division) declarations due.  Failure to make your weight class will place you as a guest lifter.
  2. Friday 11/08 @ 11:59pm - Deadline to purchase meet shirt. We will have a limited amount for sale at the meet as well.
  3. Sunday 11/10 @ 11:59pm - Please submit your rack heights if you know what they are on TSS racks by this time. If you do not know them, you will need to get them upon arriving for your session.
  4. Tuesday 11/19 @ 11:59pm - Submission of opening attempts so that we can use forecasted totals to split weight classes the fairest way possible.  We will send out a separate email with google form to submit these on.  Openers can still be changed up until 3 minutes (or 3 lifters) before your flight starts.
  5. Tuesday 11/19 @ 11:59pm - Submission for scoring rosters.  We will also send out a specific form for this as well.
     6. Early Equipment Check (for all sessions): Friday 11/22 @ 6pm to 8pm
If referees from your team will be present, their help would be greatly appreciated so we can get this process done quicker.

Women's Equipped:  44kg to 75kg
Men's Raw:  52kg to 75kg

EQ check 1:00 to 2:30pm
Weigh-ins 1:30 to 3pm
Lifting 3:30 to ~7:30pm
Women's Equipped:  82.5kg to 100+kg
Women's Raw:  44kg to 60kg
Men's Raw 82.5kg
Session 3:  (Sunday)
EQ check:  6:30 to 8am
Weigh-ins: 7 to 8:30am
Lifting 9am to ~1pm
Women's Raw: 67.5kg to 75kg
Men's Raw:  90kg
Men's Equipped:  52kg to 90kg
Session 4:  (Sunday)
EQ check 1:00 to 2:30pm
Weigh-ins 1:30 to 3pm
