The 2024 USAPL Florida Rookie Rumble I is open to currently registered USAPL members who have:
- never competed in a USAPL meet, OR
- competed in a USAPL meet but did not receive a total (ex: bombed out or only competed in a single lift division)
- Youth lifters are also allowed in all rookie meets
If you consider yourself to still be a novice lifter, please email for approval to sign up for this event.
USAPL Membership (required): USAPL Cards can be purchased online at www.usapowerlifting.com.
Please note that if this will be your first meet of 2024, you can wait until November 1st to purchase your USAPL membership but if you already have it, please submit it when registering.
All lifters must have been drug-free for the past thirty-six (36) months. 10% of total lifters will be selected for drug test (UTD).
- Registration Timeline:
Early Bird Registration: $120 (Deadline - October 26th)
Regular Registration: $145 (October 27th - December 26th)
Late Registration: $170 (after December 26th if spot is stil available)
- Meet Schedule:
Early equipment check is optional but recommended and will be on Friday 01/26 from 6:30PM - 7:30PM (tentative) at Pardise Gym. You will need to show us your current USAPL membership card (digital is acceptable) along with your photo ID (DL, school ID, military ID, passport, birth certification if youth lifter, etc.) & everything you are wearing to compete. We recommend looking over the Lifters Handbook and New Lifter Tips on the USA Powerlifting site.
Meet day schedule (tentative):
- Session 1 (Saturday 01/27): Regular Check-in with Equipment Check: 7AM. (USAPL ID & Photo ID are required. Show referees everything you're wearing on the platform)
Weigh-in: right after you have your Equipment checked, to no later than 8:30AM (no exception). (openers & rack height are required before you go weigh-in)
Lifting starts at 9:00AM, ends around 1:30PM. Awards to follow.
- Session 2 (Saturday 01/27): Regular Check-in with Equipment Check: 12:30PM. (USAPL ID & Photo ID are required. Show referees everything you're wearing on the platform)
Weigh-in: at 1PM, after you have your Equipment checked, to no later than 2:30PM (no exception). (openers & rack height are required before you go weigh-in)
Lifting starts at 3:00PM, ends around 7:30PM. Awards to follow.
- Session 3 (Sunday 01/28) if needed: same time schedule as Session 1.
